Dustin Milligan made an entry on his blog where he regrets and says sorry for making “gay” jokes. He seemed very honest in his words and quite touching. For those of you who missed the apologies from the new 90210 actor, here’s the whole post:

“To all my readers, gay, straight, bi, still deciding: I’m truly sorry and deeply embarrassed by this. My personal views on homosexuality and bisexuality and sexuality in general are so far from the dark place where these kinds of hateful terms come from and are not at all reflected accurately by such a statement. Especially now, when same-sex marriage is such a big issue in the US, I feel the days when jokingly calling someone a “homo” or saying “that’s gay” are simply over. No one should be made to feel like they or their sexuality/lifestyle is synonymous with “stupid”, and no one should be made to feel like they are less than anyone else because of who they love. It’s almost like how, in the past, everyone used to drop the N-bomb like it was a day of the week, but now it’s totally unacceptable. I feel, hope, that down the line, it will be the same with sexually derogatory terms as well. I hope my kids never use these hurtful words as flippantly as I have. Again, I am ashamed for having said it and to everyone out there, fans, friends, family, and the LGBT community: I’m sorry.”

The CW will be the only transmitting network airing standard programming on election night, Tuesday, November 4, with unique episodes of the new “90210” and “Privileged,” along with special election updates.

To make sure viewers can watch their desired shows without missing election results, both “90210” and “Privileged” will bring shortened episodes, giving stations time to air two local election updates per hour.

The new 90210 continues to do well in the United States, but our neighbors down under don’t have the same opinion! The new 90210 has been pulled from the country’s channel 10 because of poor ratings. The show’s last episode only pulled in 616,000 viewers.

A spokesperson for the station said, “90210 is an excellent show that clearly resonated with a younger audience, but it didn’t have the kind of numbers needed to stay in this intensely competitive environment.”

90210 is having the literal reverse reaction here in the United States, and the CW has ordered up lots more episodes. Hopefully this isn’t a sign of what’s to come of the show! We’re already hooked! They can’t do that to us!
