Tabitha Mills
Jessica Walter will play Tabitha Mills, the Matriarch of the family who is a 60-something actress/alcoholic who was an important star in the 1970s and had been linked to everyone from Warren Beatty to Jack Nicholson. After her latest bout at Betty Ford, Tabitha decides to try to live on her own in her Beverly Hills estate.
Harry Mills
Rob Estes will play Harry Mills, a West Beverly Hills High graduate, who moves his wife and two children from the Midwest to be the new principal at the high school. Harry feels he needs to look after his mother, Tabitha Mills, a washed up actress/alcoholic, while she makes a go at being sober.
Harry is married to Celia, a personal trainer/former Olympic athlete and together they have two kids, both 16-year-old: one biological daughter, named Annie and an adopted son, Dixon.
Celia Mills
Lori Loughlin will play Celia Mills, an ex-Olympic athlete who relocates to Beverly Hills with her husband, Harry Mills (Beverly Hills High’s new principal) and two children: Annie and Dixon Mills.
Annie Mills
Annie is an emo/theater kid who’s desperate to fit in with the cool crowd. She starts haging out with Daphne and they become best friends. Annie will be played by Shenae Grimes.
Dixon Mills
Dixon is a super smart bad boy who has lingering social and behavioral issues — and not an ounce of nerdiness in him. He’s Navid’s best friend.
Naomi Bennett
AnnaLynne, will play Naomi Bennett, a hot, rich, and popular Beverly Hills high schooler. Ethan Ward, a likeable jock at West Beverly will be Naomi’s boyfriend on the new series. She appears to be a brat but will end up having more layers.
Ethan Ward
Dustin Milligan joined the cast as Ethan, a popular star athlete at West Beverly Hills High School. Ethan’s girlfriend will be Naomi Bennett (AnnaLynne McCord). He ends up hanging with the “90210″ crew.
Navid Shirazi
Michael Steger will play Navid, a student of Persian descent and the producer of West Beverly Hills High School’s TV newscasts. Steger’s character, who spins around town in his convertible Cadillac, is also a Scientologist who drinks non-alcoholic wine to fit in with the partying crowd. Navid is Dixon’s best friend.
Daphne Silver
Jessica Stroup will play Daphne Silver, a wannabe socialite who hosts her own YouTube series and who has a brother named Max Silver. She becomes good pals with Annie and has a crush on Dixon (as well as the only Jewish girl at Beverly Hills High with a black boyfriend — another hint that producers are considering making Dixon’s character non-white). No word on whether Daphne and Max are related to the David Silver of the original Beverly Hills 90210.
NOTE: Max and Daphne live in a mansion alone because their parents have been on “a cruise” forever. Other than that last name, there is no apparent connection to the original cast or series. The breakdown insinuates that the parents might actually be dead… and that the kids might have been involved!
Ryan Matthews
Ryan Eggold will play Ryan Matthews, a cool English lit teacher at West Beverly High whose unorthodox teaching style puts him at odds with his fellow teachers and sometimes too close with his students.
Since the show is in its infancy stage, please note that the character names and central storylines may very well change by the time the pilot is filmed. It sure does seem as though the CW is actively pursuing this project, so I’d say the chances of this series making it to the fall schedule are excellent.
